To stabilise the remaining masonry safely, Guardian Structural installed gallow brackets in accordance with a structural engineer’s design, along with fire-resistant boarding to comply with current Building Control requirements.
The work was carried out within the loft space, with careful attention to structural load transfer, fire protection, and long-term safety.

During inspection, it was found that the chimney stack was no longer adequately supported. This can occur when lower-level chimney breasts are removed without installing permanent structural support.
